Awards Program:
Year end awards are presented to members in numerous categories such as equitation, driving, dressage, combined training, gymkhana, competitive or pleasure trail, jumping, etc.

Certificate Program:
Members earn recognition for hours spent with their horses in non-competitive use.

Retraining Assistance:
Local chapters sponsor retraining clinics, training articles are printed in each newsletter and past articles are available upon request. Specific questions can be presented for help from other SPHO members.

Newsletter:
SPHO publishes a quarterly newsletter with information and articles about pleasure Standardbreds from all over the world as well as retraining tips,

Competition Rules:
A rulebook including class specifications as well as a description of the year end awards point system and requirements is provided to each member.

Prizes:
SPHO sponsors high point Standardbred awards at specific events' such as competitive trail rides/drives and horse shows.

Horse Referral:
Some SPHO members are in contact with the harness racing industry and occasionally can refer prospective owners to "retired" racers.
